Our Story

In 2004 Dance Kaleidoscope asked me to photograph their performance. I had been photographing color guard competitions nationally, and so felt like I could do the job.

It was amazing. Different in so many ways, the timing and anticipation was similar, but the lighting and professional performace was unmistakably on a different level. The music and emotion stirred my spirit and I was happy to make my service available. I must have done a good job, because they immediately contracted us.

Working with Dance Kaleidoscope opened the door for us to work with many companies, such as Butler Ballet, Kenyetta, Motion Wear, Anderson Ballet, Motus dance, Indiana Ballet Theatre. Over the past twenty years we have worked with many individual dancers in the studio environment, creating porfolios as well as marketing materials for company promotions. One of the more successful campaigns was to create a calendar highlighting the individual dancers of Dance Kaleidoscope with scenes of indianapolis. We put together a team of makeup artists, clothing designers and made Newfields and the Art Center our studio. Over the course of three days we photographed the company in designer clothes and developed the calendar spreads to be put together and printed by Printing Partners. In the end, we raised far more money for the company than we could ever write a check for. As artist’s thats what we do. We create a value from our disciplines and emotional content by creating out of it something new to share with the world.
